富山駅前に誕生した組子座 – Toyama Craft Lounge は、株式会社タニハタが運営する、日本の伝統木工技術「組子細工」を五感で体験できる文化観光施設です。館内では職人による製作実演や大型組子作品の展示、組子づくり体験、ここでしか手に入らない組子座限定商品の販売を行っています。木の香りや職人の手仕事に触れながら、日本のものづくり文化を身近に感じられる特別な空間です。

Born in front of Toyama Station, “Kumiko-za – Toyama Craft Lounge” is a cultural tourism facility operated by Tanihata, where you can experience the traditional Japanese woodcraft technique of “Kumiko” with all five senses. The lounge features live demonstrations by master artisans, displays of large-scale Kumiko works, hands-on workshops, and exclusive items available only here. Surrounded by the scent of natural wood and the artistry of skilled craftsmanship, it is a special space to connect deeply with the spirit of Japanese craftsmanship.

エントランスには、富山の和紙作家・川原隆邦氏とのコラボレーションによる作品「称名滝」が展示されています。日本一の落差を誇る富山の名瀑・称名滝をモチーフにしたこの作品は、夜明け前の静寂に佇む滝の姿を表現。昼と夜で異なる表情を見せる、光と和紙の移ろいをお楽しみください。

The entrance features “Shomyo Falls,” a collaborative work with washi artist Takakuni Kawahara. Inspired by the majestic Shomyo Falls—the tallest waterfall in Japan—this piece captures the serene stillness of the falls just before dawn. Please enjoy the interplay of light and washi, which reveals different expressions of the falls between day and night.
